Interesting Links
Useful and Interesting Places to visit on the World Wide Web
However much we might regret it, we cannot put all the information on the Stamp and Postcard world on our website, but what we can do is put links to other websites where you will find interesting and useful information. Obviously, this list is not exhaustive, or we would be exhausted, but we hope you will find something of interest.

NW Fed
The North West Federation of Philatelic Societies
Our first link is to a fascinating site maintained by the North West Federation of Philatelic Societies, which sounds rather formal until you realise that there is a positive mine of information about philately, stamps and stamp collecting on the site, together with many useful links. We would love you to go there, but we don't want to lose you, so if you click on their logo on the left, a new window will open, and you will have the best of both worlds to choose from!

UK Philately
A Little Bit of This, and a Lot of That
There is a website which brings together a considerable body of knowledge and information. It is www.ukphilately.org.uk It includes pages from the Association of British Philatelic Societies, and has articles of interest to specialists, and young collectors alike. There are lists of dealers' associations, the various stamp magazines which are published, and local and regional societies. Well worth a visit! Click on the stamp to go there.

British Postmark Society
Understanding the what, where, when and why
One feature common to almost all used stamps is a postmark which, with a bit of luck, will tell the collector where and when the stamp was used, and frequently quite a lot more besides. Many collectors specialise on these obliterations and there is a society which brings together many collectors and much information: the British Postmark Society. They have a website. Click on their special mark, left, to go there!

Postcard Traders’ Association
Cartophily for All
There are, of course, many collectors who specialise in postcards, and there is a website www.postcard.co.uk specially aimed at our cartophilic colleagues, sponsored by the Postcard Traders' Association. The site aims to supply information on all aspects of postcards to a wider audience. Whether you are looking for suppliers or printing services, or perhaps trying to find out about an old card, then you are as welcome there as the thousands of postcard collectors who visit the pages regularly. Click on the PTA logo to go there!

Association of British Philatelic Societies
The Information Exchange
If it could be said that there was such a thing as ‘Stamp Central’ then the ABPS
would be it. The ABPS provides links, co-

The British Postal Museum & Archive
British History Through The Post
The Post Office has been involved in more than just the handling of mail. From Post Office Bicycles to Post Office Rifles, much of the story is preserved for us and future generations at the British Postal Museum and Archive. Fortunately, too, a lot of material is featured on their website, with histories, photographs, papers, illustrations, and even an interactive enclyclopaedia.
So waste not a moment more. Click on their logo to go immediately by Special Delivery!
