The Dates and Programme for our Meetings

The current year’s programme runs from September and will end with the June meeting. Full details appear on the page for the Current Year.

But even though our previous years’ programmes are now history, it can be interesting to look back at the wide range of speakers and presentations which have both educated and entertained us. Our programmes from 2005 onwards appear in our Electronic Archive.

The Current Year 2011-2012

The Calendar and Journal for our Meetings this Season

The programme for 2011-12 is as varied as ever, with visiting speakers telling us about the stamps of Japan, an area often overlooked because of the difficulty of the language; the errors and varieties which excite so many philatelists, and a trip along the Danube from Black Forest to Black Sea! Plus, of course, a varied programme of contributions from our own Members.

Whatever Henry Ford did, or did not, say, History is not Bunk. The Southport Stamp and Postcard Club was founded in 1930, and therefore we have quite a considerable amount of history, and a small part of it is now in our electronic archive.
