To make things clearer, we've colour coded the type of meeting:
 Blue is for regular Members' Evenings,
 Green is for Evenings where a visiting speaker will make a
 Red is for the AGM. Be there, or be on the Committee next year!
6th September 2016
We have a tradition in our Club of Alphabetic Philately. Each Season we have an evening
of Members’ displays based around two letters of the alphabet; one from each half.
This year, the two letters are ‘E’ and ‘V’ The only limits are those of imagination!
4th October 2016
This evening we will be welcoming members of the Preston Philatelic Society to our
meeting, complete with a Table-Top Sale. All members and visitors may bring priced
items for sale.
1st November 2016
This evening we will be entertained and informed by our first Guest Speaker of the
year. Peter Kirk from Macclesfield Philatelic Society, and Treasurer of the NWFed,
will tell us more about ‘The Three Kings.’
6th December 2016
We all enjoyed our Christmas Dinner last year, so again this year we will combine
our December meeting with a satisfying collation of turkey and plum pudding, or whatever
else takes our fancy.
Names and menu choices are required by mid-November please.
3rd January 2017
Our Members’ Evening this evening will start with a presentation of ‘Road Safety’
by Brian Kipps. Where we go from there will be discovered in due course!
7th February 2017
Norman Hudson from Ellesmere Port Philatelic Society is our second Guest Speaker
of the season. His theme will be ‘Scottish Islands.’

This evening’s meeting will see us welcoming visiting members from the Northwich

This evening sees the competition for the Leonard Rimmer Trophy. Entries for this
Open competition are to be on nine sheets, and exclude thematic material. For more
detail please consult the Competition Rules, linked below left.
2nd May 2017 THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Not just the AGM, but also the Club Auction, where the success of the sales can have
a marked effect on the subscription for the coming year! So, if you want a say in
who is on the Committee next year (or even who is not!) don’t forget to turn up!

It has become traditional in our Club that the last evening of the season should
be dedicated to postcards. The theme for this year’s evening will be posted in due
course, but NOT second class.

to look back at the wide range of speakers and presentations which have both educated
and entertained us.
